The waiting is hard...

While mom has been making good progress, it is much slower than any of us thought...she has to hit a couple of milestone in order for the doctor to release her from the hospital. Unfortunately, her body just isn't "waking up" as fast as her mind! :-) Mom has been at the hospital for a week now and we were able to bring the kids over for a visit...once most of her tubes were removed (so she didn't look so "dire" for the kids) ...these pictures were taken on the 4th of July!

Today she is still making more progress - she actually vomited, which is a good sign! Hopefully over the next two days her body will start to get back into motion and the doctor will be ready to release her! My grandma made it down from WA today - YAY! She is here to stay with my mom while she recovers from this surgery and begins her chemo treatment. My older brother and his family had to head back home today - it was sad to see them go (and I know he hated to leave with mom still in the hospital) but he has to get back to work and keep his life moving...like we all do, keeping some form of "normalcy" for the kids!! Thank you again for all your prayers for my mom...I pray you are blessed as well.
