It's like we are in a BLIZZARD!!

...yes, here in Portland conditions are crazy! Forecast called for snow to start around Noon today and turn into freezing rain after 7PM...we woke up and it had already snowed over night and then started snowing again around 7:30AM. We had a holiday party to attend today and really just sick of being STUCK in the house so we decided to go, the snow did not stop all day! On the way home it was blowing snow - couldn't see that far in advance plus our car was having defrosting issues (go figure). I think the snow finally stopped around 6PM - now it is just blowing around, but we are still expected to get that freezing rain now after midnight! We easily have 6" on the ground (not including the wind drift areas, obviously). All I can say is WOW!! Guess this is the worst Dec in god knows how many years! :-) Hope everyone is staying warm!!
